MG_6239-copyTUSCUMBIA-“The Art of the Dish” Antique and Vintage China Exhibit will  be held at Belle Mont Mansion, June 23-25, with a special box lunch and program presented on the courtyard at noon  Friday, June 24.  This is a new event planned in conjunction with the annual Helen Keller Festival in Tuscumbia.

Thursday – Saturday, June 23-25, 2016

Belle Mont Mansion, Tuscumbia, Alabama

 

 

The Friends of Belle Mont Mansion and the Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation will host “Art of the Dish,” a unique antique china display June 23-25, 2016 at Belle Mont Mansion in historic Tuscumbia, Alabama. Antique and vintage china will be displayed throughout the Mansion and may be viewed during regular Mansion tours. This event will be held in conjunction with the Helen Keller Festival.

 

On Friday, June 24, a special luncheon will be held at noon. The luncheon will include a guided tour of the Mansion, interactive china exhibits, and lunch sponsored by Amelia’s Café. Tickets are required and may be purchased in advance at Colbert County Tourism, Florence-Lauderdale Tourism, Belle Mont Mansion, and FiddleDee D! in downtown Tuscumbia.

Belle Mont is located in Colbert County at 1569 Cook Lane, Tuscumbia, AL 35674.

 

Belle Mont, built in 1828, is owned by the Alabama Historical Commission. Currently, the Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation operates this historic home and is offering special programming to increase awareness and to raise funds to maintain the site. Belle Mont is open Thursday-Saturday, 12:00- 4:00. The Alabama Historical Commission protects, preserves, and interprets Alabama’s historic places and is the State Historic Preservation Office.
