James Victor Arnold, 85, of Corinth, MS, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at his son’s residence. He was born in Alcorn Co., MS on November 10, 1930, to the late Vard and Gladys Shields Arnold. James was a member of Gospel Tabernacle and retired after working many years as a restaurant owner and car dealer. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 PM Saturday December 12, 2015 and from 12 Noon till service time Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of James’s life will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, officiated by Bro. Josh Hodum and Bro. Gary Hodum. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Brad Buckles, Jesse Buckles, Cullen Arnold, Greg Gilmore, Joey Gilmore and Joe Sanders. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy Glover and Buford Hopper. Magnolia Funeral Home is caring for the family. Those left to honor James’s memory include his sons: Jimmy Arnold, Shawn Arnold and wife Shandall and Don Arnold all of Corinth, MS; his daughter: Sherry Buckles of Corinth, MS; 6 grandchildren: Brad Buckles and wife Amber, Jessie Buckles, Autumn Crum and husband Jason, Cullen Arnold, Avery Arnold and Darby Arnold; 6 great-grandchildren: Madison Davis, Reed Davis, Payton Davis, Tyler Haney, Emma Buckles and Kylee Buckles; a brother: Eugene Arnold of Iuka, MS; a sister: Betty Gilmore of Corinth, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
