Glenda Sue Thrower Bailey, 73 of Dadeville, Alabama, Tallapoosa County died Friday, December 11, 2015 in Hospice of Marshall County, Shepherd’s Cove Albertville.
Mrs. Bailey was born July 16, 1942 in Marshall County, the daughter of Vester and Hattie Mae Weaver Thrower. She was a graduate of Arab High School, Class of 1960 and also a college graduate. She and husband, Robert T. Bailey were married 52 years and have called Dadeville their home since 1999 where she was a member of the Dadeville Church of Christ. She retired as an office manager for the Apologetics Press.
She is survived by her husband: Robert T. Bailey; two daughters and sons-in-law: Deneille and Craig Dunn and Shelley and Chuck Tice; five grandchildren: Chandler Dunn, Griffin Dunn, Chris Tice (Caressa), Colin Tice, Elle Tice and a great grandson: Luke Tice.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Brother Chris Tidwell, Brother James Cullins and Brother Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Craig Dunn, Griffin Dunn, Benny Hyatt, Wayne Ponder, Tommy Taylor, Travis Thrower and Chuck Tice.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
