Visitation for William Boyd “Bill” Slager, 58, of Decatur will be today, September 17, 2014, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Slager died Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 29, 1956, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Imagaard Gene Varnell. He was preceded in death by his mother; two brothers, Darrell James Lemley and W.A. Brown; and two sisters, Betsy Long and Sandra McLaughlin.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Ann Slager; three sons, James Slager of Decatur, Chris Slager (Lawanda) of Muscle Shoals and David Slager of Decatur; one daughter, Tisha N. Speakman (Jimbo) of Decatur; five sisters, Betty Martin of Decatur, Cindy Robinson of Trinity, May Sparkman and Becky Engle, both of Decatur, and Beverly Steelman of Athens; and 10 grandchildren.
