Ms. Zipporah T. Knowles was born to the union of Pastor Odell Knowles and Missionary Bobbie Knowles in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended and graduated from Hazelwood East High School with a full musical scholarship to Alabama A&M University in Normal, Alabama. Throughout her life she enjoyed singing, writing, music, poetry, family, and friends, even meeting the love of her life.
Eventually Zipporah left Huntsville, Alabama and moved to Tullahoma, Tennessee and continued and excelled in music writing. Although many songs have yet to be recorded, they have been copyrighted for the eventual release of family.
Zipporah joined Gods Temple C.O.G.I.C in October of 1997 under Pastor Odell Knowles and was instrumental in the relaunch in January 2021 under Apostle T. Knowles, at this time she began to assist with testimony service and the encouraging of the Word of God through worship.
Zipporah leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Bobbie Knowles, one sister, Rosland (Roland) Handy, two brothers: Odell Knowles and T. (Tara) Knowles. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins galore, numerous friends, the love of many and memories of life, joy, and peace.
The funeral service for Ms. Zipporah Tamar Knowles will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810). Interment will be in the Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
Public viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2024, and 8:30 until 10:00 a.m., Monday, February19, 2024, at the Royal Funeral Home.
