Funeral services for Mrs. Zeith Jordan Elliott, age 81, of Cragford will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Mellow Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Elliott was born in Clay County and was a Lineville High School Class of 1961 graduate. Zeith had worked serving her community for several years with the Alabama Department of Public Health and Department of Human Resources. She really enjoyed going to the mountains, traveling, spending time out of doors, going to restaurants like “Top of The River” and others. Zeith was also well known for her great pound cakes and her very special “Hattie Peas”.
She is survived by her daughter in law, Wendy Elliott of Cragford; grandchildren, Lane Elliott (Alissa) of Cragford and Landon Elliott (Josie) of Cragford; her great-grandchildren, Tate Elliott, Chet Elliott, Avery Elliott, and one on the way Gerry Levi Elliott; a brother, Charles Mitchell “Bug” Jordan of Ashland; plus many other family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caretaker Cynthia Houston and the staff at the Clay County Nursing Home for taking such tender care of their loved one.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Melvin Jordan and Hattie Louise Mitchell; her husband of 46 years Charles Gerald Elliott Sr., and her son that she dearly loved and missed so much, Charles Gerald “Gerry” Elliott Jr.
Active pallbearers will be Lane Elliott, Landon Elliott, Kyle Jordan, Keith Jordan, Kelvin Kennedy and Justin Rush.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Tuesday January 7, 2025 from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and until one hour prior to service time on Wednesday. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
