Woman Arrested After Foot Pursuit

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a call for help in identifying a woman suspected of shoplifting earlier today, Wednesday, November 3rd.  Here is a statement from the Florence Police on the arrest of a woman on charges of shoplifting:

“Muscle Shoals Woman Arrested After Foot Pursuit; Santia Chimire Hurley, 29, of Muscle Shoals was arrested today after alert community members recognized her picture from an earlier shoplifting incident. Florence Police responded to Florence Mall shortly after 11am this morning to a report that a female had stolen multiple items and fled the area. Store pictures were obtained and posted on our social media sites. At approximately 1:30p officers were called back to the Florence Mall after witnesses and loss prevention officers observed the female return to the mall. As police approached the female she began running through the parking lot in an attempt to elude the officers. She was taken into custody after a short pursuit and charged with Theft of Property 2nd, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest. She is currently jailed at the LCDC on bond totaling $3,500.00 US.
