MUSCLE SHOALS – Amanda at Sheffield’s General Sign Company sent The Quad Cities Daily some photos of their great work of restoring and installing WLAY Radio station’s iconic sign. They installed it yesterday at the Station, and wanted to share it with our audience.

I was in Explorer Post #80 at WLAY back in the late 70s. They taught us a little about the radio business culminating in a midnight to 6AM show that we produced and ran. Good times! Dave Tipps (DJ) & Tom Pepper (Program Director) were there at the time. Very cool to see the WLAY 1450 sign restored to its place of prominence.
