Mrs. Wilma Jean Rhodes, age 85, passed away late Sunday in Memphis. She was born March 23, 1939 in Memphis to the late Guy and Essie Oxner Noland. She was a homemaker and loved Hallmark movies, reading, and writing letters and cards to friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Gerald Rhodes and one daughter, Penny Helton.
Survivors include her three daughters, Paulette Wallace (Sammy), Margaret Rhodes, and Ginny Howell (David); nine grandchildren, Michael Wallace (Tracy), Hunter Rhodes (Emma), Heather Wallace, David Howell, Jr., Courtney Taphorn, Josh Howell (Katri), Leslie Helton, Daniel Howell, and Hillary Green (Darren); ten great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2024 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, 4 – 8 PM and on Thursday, 12 – 2 PM.
