Willodean Dodd Horton, 71, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Visitation will be Monday from 6-9 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral Service will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Crowden officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee.
Mrs. Horton was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church and participated in the Senior Citizen Center of Sheffield. She also helped with the Meals On Wheels Program.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen J. “Sqeekie” Horton; parents, Ollie and Willie Dodd; three brothers and six sisters.
She is survived by her son, Allen P. Horton and wife, Jacqui Horton; daughters, LuAnn Simmons and husband, Rodney, Rhonda Hatch and Jonanna Goolsby; brother, Billy Ray Dodd; sister, Evelyn Parmer; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Eric Newbern, Matthew Lovelace, Stephen Prince, Steve Tucker, Charles Simmons and Chris Anderson.
