F.5.31.19 Willodean Motes.jpg Willodean Beasley Motes, age 90, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Her visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Tuscumbia with Reverend Rudy Guess officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Willodean retired as an LPN with Helen Keller Memorial Hospital after 26 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia where she was involved with her Sunday school class and the Ladies Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy D. Motes; parents, Reverend James Eddie “Ed” and Susan Beasley; brother, Reverend James Elton Beasley; and granddaughter, Emily Rebecca Motes.

She is survived by her children, Marshall R. Motes (Kay), Terry S. Motes (Rebecca), Gregory A. Motes and Laland J. Motes (Melissa); brother, Freddy Beasley; sister-in-law, Winnie M. Beasley; grandchildren, Richard M. Motes (Crystal), Marsha Kay Howard (Matthew), Tara F. Hager (Jamie), Joshua B. Motes (Kaity), Jenny E. Lutz (Austin), Bethany M. Suddreth (Andrew), Stephanie E. Ellen (Pete) and Westley J. Motes; great-grandchildren, Lindsay Kay Howard, Elizabeth Danielle Howard, Cooper Cloer, AnnMarie Cloer, Finley Edward Motes, Josey Wright Motes, Maxwell Foy Hager, Audrey Rebecca Hager, Latham Justin Ellen and Peyton Danny Ellen; and special nieces, Teresa Beasley Fuller and Wanda Beasley Rickard.

Pallbearers will be Matt Howard, Rick Motes, Joshua Motes, Jamie Hager, Austin Lutz, Westley Motes and Andrew Suddreth.

Special thanks to friends and family for their love and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia Wednesday Night Meals.
