Marcus Ray Holliday, 78, of Florence, passed away May 27, 2019. Visitation will be Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 11 a.m. to noon at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Rhodesville Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Holliday was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a truck driver and loved reading, especially history and science fiction.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Holliday; children, Tena (Michael) Kelley and Terry (Becky) Holliday; grandchildren, Lisa (Ben) Schreckengost of North Carolina, Gayla (Cam) Miller, Catrina (Ryan) Royce, Clay (Katie) Holliday and Taylor Holliday; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Emily, Gavin, Alice, Faith, Rylan, Annistyn, Alex and Makensley; sisters, Sallie Bell of Canton, Ohio and Margaret Scott; and brother, Stanley Gardner.
