Mr. Willie Lee Dillard, 82, died Monday, January 22, 2024 at his residence. Born April 12, 1941, he was one of 17 children born to the union of Baker Dillard and Ruby Henderson Ketchum Dillard. He was a resident of Brewer community for 45 years. Willie retired as a truck driver employed by North South Express for 16 years. In prior years he worked for Mid South Packers and the Ice Plant. He married Minnie Dale Rogers October 14, 1967, creating 56 years of memories to be cherished. He enjoyed riding his horse, Star; visited forty-nine states plus Canada and Mexico; lifetime member of NRA, and enjoyed yard-selling at One Stop in Mooreville, watching westerns, and going to auctions. Willie was Baptist by faith.

A celebration of life service will be at 1 PM today, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Kerry Powell officiating. Burial will follow in East Chickasaw Memorial Gardens, Okolona. Visitation will be from 11 AM to service time.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Dale Dillard of Brewer; two sons, Mark Dillard and Jimmy Rogers; grandchildren, Brandi Traylor (Jimmy), Crystal Davis (Jeff), and John Atwell Dillard; great-grandchildren, Haley Traylor, Braxton Rogers, Kaitlynn Davis and Drew Davis; one great-great grandchild, River Jayy Traylor; 7 siblings and their families to include several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 9 siblings; and daughter, Melinda “Sissy” Rogers, who he always referred to as his Angel.

Pallbearers will be John Dillard, Tim Dillard, Steve Dillard, Drew Davis, Braxton Rogers, and Jeff Davis.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their loving care of Mr. Willie.
