Willie Lathern Hurst, age 88, of Hendersonville, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Waters of Gallatin. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 12pm in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with his family officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4-8pm and again on Thursday from 11am until 11:45am.
Mr. Hurst was born November 23, 1932 in Camp Hill, AL to the late George and Cora Pike Hurst. He was a restaurant manager and member of the Church of Christ. He loved camping and gardening and also garage sales.
In addition to his parents Mr. Hurst is preceded in death by his brothers, Edwin Hurst, Milford Hurst, Junior Hurst and Paul Hurst, and his sister, Essie Hurst.
Mr. Hurst is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ellen Pollock Hurst; son, Randall (Sheila) Hurst of Springfield; daughter, Jennifer (Jerry) Hayes of Goodlettsville; brother, Don Hurst of Sandy Springs, AR; sisters-in-law, Tina Hurst of LA and Frances Hurst of OK; grandson, Zachary (Julia) Hall of Goodlettsville; and great-grandson, Eli Hall.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier is in charge of these arrangements.
