It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Willie Edward Driver on April 8,2024, a beloved member of the community, who was known for his kind and generous spirit. Born on July 21, 1958, in Nashville, TN, Willie was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to providing for his family. He worked at Walker Die Casting for many years, where he was respected and valued by his coworkers.
Willie was a gentle giant with a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He treated his stepsons as his own and was a member of the Saint James Church. In his free time, Willie enjoyed fishing and had a particular fondness for vans, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. He raised 3 boys as if they were his own children, and they were Willie’s sons to him.
Willie is survived by his sons, Jeremy Lee, Briley Lee, and Darren Lee; brother Tony Driver and Joshua Cleveland; sister Gwendolyn James; and grandson Kason Cain Lee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Lewis and Rose Smith Driver; wife, Norma Driver; brother, Charles Driver; and sister, Annette Driver. In honor of his life, a memorial service will be held to celebrate Willie’s legacy and the impact he had on all who knew him.
The service will commemorate the life of a man who touched the hearts of many and will be an opportunity for friends and family to come together in remembrance. The service will be announced later this week.
Rest in peace, Willie, your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
