William Walker William Walker, aged 84, of Elkmont, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14th, 2025, at his residence. Born on October 16th, 1940, in Limestone County, William was the beloved son of Marvin and Mamie Teeples Walker.

William is survived by his devoted wife, June Walker. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son Ronald Walker and his wife Michelle, and his daughter Patricia Tucker and her husband Marty. He was a proud grandfather to Steven Tucker and his wife Allison, Rebekah Holt and her husband Nick, Matthew Tucker and his wife McKala, Kasey Toone and her husband Jake, and Keith Walker. Additionally, he cherished his five great-grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Walker.

Funeral services to honor the life of William Walker will be held on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Michael Aiken. Friends and family are invited to gather for the visitation from 9:00 to 10:45 AM at the funeral home to pay their respects. Interment will be at Athens Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will include Steven Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Keith Walker, Marty Tucker, Kevin Browning, and Jake Toone.

William was devoted to his family and was married to the love of his life, June, for over 60 years. He served proudly in the U.S. Army for over 8 years before dedicating 36 years to driving a bread truck for SunBeam. A passionate sports enthusiast, William was an avid supporter of University of Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Athens Limestone Hospital 3 West and Hospice of the Valley. A special note of gratitude goes to his nurse Shatara for her exceptional care and dedication.

William Walker will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for sports. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
