Brenda Gail Moss, aged 73, of Athens, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025. Born on August 18th, 1951, in Athens, she was the daughter of Edgar and Myrtle Bagsby Haggermaker.
Mrs. Moss leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her devoted husband, William Moss, and her son, Daron Moss, along with his wife, Tara. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandson, Aiden Moss. Brenda is also survived by her sisters, Paula Moss and Karen Reese, and her brother, Tony Haggermaker, along with his wife, Laquita. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and warmth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Myrtle Bagsby Haggermaker.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Thursday evening, July 17th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services to honor Mrs. Moss will be held on Friday, July 18th, 2025, at 2:00 PM at New Oakland Baptist Church. The services will be officiated by James Lemay and Dwight Rayburn, who will celebrate her life and the love she shared with all who knew her. Following the service, interment will take place at New Oakland Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The honor of carrying Mrs. Moss to her final resting place will be bestowed upon Nathan Self, Jonathan Caldwell, Douglas Daniel, Daniel Caldwell, Alex Knight, and Jordan Maples.
Brenda Gail Moss will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her. Her presence brought joy and comfort to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
