Rev. William T. McGee Jr Rev. William T. McGee Jr, age 71 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on December 6, 1949 to the late William T. McGee and Ruth Alberta (Bell) McGee Sr. William served his country in the United States Army and later retired from South Central Bell Phone Company, where he had been employed as a lineman. He was currently employed by SCATS as a transportation driver. Most importantly, he served the Lord as a Church Pastor, founder of Urgent Life Ministries, volunteer Evangelist Chaplain for Miami Dade Police Department, and as former pastor and church planter for the Southern Baptist Convention. William was an avid Tennessee Volunteers football fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Barbara Jean O’Dell McGee and son, William Benjamin Gordon. William is survived by his loving wife, Angelia Mangum McGee of Winchester; children, Mindy McGee of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mandiey (Wilson) Spain of Tullahoma, Amee (Josh) Fontana of Woodstock, Georgia, Jennifer (Mike) Williams of Tullahoma, Erin (Dalvin) Dedic of Woodstock, Georgia, Jeremy (Dottie) Gordon of Maryland, and Michael (Becky) McGee of Buford, Georgia; brother, Bobby (Linda) McGee of Knoxville; sister, Jo Wildrick of Sevierville; seventeen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. David McGee and Rev. Mike Johnson officiating. Interment will be held at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or Disabled Veterans.
