William T. “Bill” Danley, age 78, of Decherd, passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester. He was born on December 2, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edward and Delphia Danley. In the late 1950’s he moved to Franklin County with his parents where he graduated in 1961 from Franklin County High School. In 1974 he opened Danley’s Heating and Air,that is still in operation today. In his spare time, you could find Bill on the golf course, fishing, or playing cards. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy, whether it was traveling with Beverly, watching his grandkids play sports or grilling out for everyone to enjoy. Bill was a member of the Cowan Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Winchester Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. He will be remembered by all who loved him as a positive person who never met a stranger. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty-seven years, Beverly Jane Collins Danley and sister, Linda Isbell. Bill is survived by his children, Cindy (Eddie) Spears of Lascassas,TN, Kim (Wendell) Danley Carter of Winchester, Michael (Brandi) Danley of Winchester; grandchildren, Derrick (Emily) Spears, Paige (Tyler) Carter Jackson, Matthew Carter, Taylor Danley, Mattie Danley and Ashtyn Danley; his first great grandson is on the way; sister, Norma Jean Danley Pittenger and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm with funeral services following at 4:00 pm from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Pittenger officiating.
