William Olbert Sells, age 86, departed this life at his home in Estill Springs on March 14, 2023. He was born in Winchester on September 13, 1936 to the late Walter and Irena Sells. He was employed at Bliss Laughlin in Harvey, Illinois for ten years. He retired from PPG in Huntsville, Alabama after twenty-eight years. William loved gardening and farming. His Saturday night thing was watching Jonathan and later Justin race at Winchester Speedway. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alfred Sells; and great-granddaughter, Allison Sells. William is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Frances Marie Sanders Sells; children, Sandra (Randy) Mott, Steven Sells, and Jonathan (Leigh Ann) Sells, all of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Craig (Becky Holden) Garner, Josh (Melissa) Sells, Kristy (Charlie) Shetters, Justin (Bailee Walls) Sells, and Jordan (Connor Mayes) Sells; great-grandchildren, Zach Garner, Calleigh Garner, Shelby Sells, Miley Shetters, and Karleigh Sells; brothers, Anthony Sells of Georgia and Ricky Sells of Elora; and special caregiver, Paulette James. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Ray Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.
