William Levi HaysApril 7, 2011 – August 19, 2022
To know Levi was to love him. He was funny, charismatic, tender-hearted, and loved with his whole heart.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022, from 5:00-8:00pm. A Celebration of Levi’s Life will be Wednesday, August 24th, at 11:00am. All services will be held at Clements Baptist Church on Hwy 72 West in Athens, Alabama, with Pastors Tim Anderson and Brian Murphy officiating. Burial will take place at Thatch-Mann Cemetery.
Levi is preceded in death by great-grandparents Fred and Ruby Jane Hays, Leon and Bobbie Webster, Roy (Hoss) and Wilma Colvard, and James and Mary Nell Battles.
Levi is survived by his parents Skyler and Haley (Colvard) Hays; sister Sadie Grace Hays; grandparents Shane and Debra Colvard and Johnny and Vickie Hays; aunts, uncles, and special cousins John David and Emily (Colvard) Holt and children Noah, Cole, Sara Page, and Reed, Landon and Haley (Barron) Hays and children Barron, Bristol, Brooklyn, and John Marshall, Collin and Shaina (Stoddard) Hays and children Murphy Jane and John Luke. All of Athens, Alabama. Levi is also survived by many loving extended family, friends, Clements Baptist Church family, Athens City School’s classmates and staff, and his football team members.
Pallbearers are Cole, Noah, John David, Landon, Collin, and Jason McBay.
Honorary pallbearers are Reed, Carson Pepper, and 12U Coaches and players.
So as we mourn the unexpected and unexplainable loss of an awesome, perfectly made 6th grade boy that we loved dearly – take extra time to throw a football, play with Lego, or talk trash while playing video games with your kids in honor of Levi. Don’t count the days…make the days count.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Levi’s memory can be made to Athens Youth Football League in care of Roy Atkins.
