Terry Douglas Shelton, 73 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, August 21st, 2022.
Terry is survived by his wife Sheila Shelton; sons John (Robin) Shelton and Brian (Andrea) Shelton; granddaughters Alex, Hayden, Dylaney, and Ryleigh; sister Jackie (Jerry) Shelton; brother Larry (Carolyn) Shelton; brothers-in-law Stan (Bonnie) Hathcoat and Gary (Melinda) Hathcoat; nieces Erin Allison, Tasha Hathcoat, and Sarah Hathcoat; and nephews Jared Hathcoat and Hunter Hathcoat.
Terry Shelton was a faithful member of the Lord’s church and served as a Deacon and Elder at the Collierville Church of Christ before moving to Alabama to be closer to family in 2007. He loved the Lord and His church and he loved serving others. He was a loving husband to his wife Sheila for 52 years and he was a devoted father and grandfather. His dedication to his family was second only to his dedication to God and he adored his four granddaughters. He also was a good neighbor and enjoyed spending time helping them and talking with them. Terry loved his family, his friends, and his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Funeral services for Terry will be Friday, August 26th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00pm.
