William E. “Scoop” Ridgeway, 73 of Guntersville passed away Tuesday February 11, 2025, at his residence. He was born December 2, 1951, in Marshall County, the son of Esca Montgomery Ridgeway and Violet Pendergrass Ridgeway. He was a retired construction superintendent and was married to Paula Bergeron Ridgeway.
He is survived by his wife: Paula Ridgeway; daughter: Ashland Ridgeway Ryan and husband, Brandon; sisters: Gay Nell Thomas and Peggy McClung Rodgers; grandchildren: Lakelyn Roberts and Lilly Grace Ryan; preceded in death by parents: Esca Montgomery and Violet Pendergrass Ridgeway; children: Whitney Dawn Ridgeway and Larry Garret Ridgeway; sisters: Margaret Clark and Bonnie Leak; brother: A.G. Ridgeway.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday February 13, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel. The family has chosen cremation with a Memorial Service at a later date.
