Betty Vinson DuBois, 90 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. DuBois was born on January 6th, 1935, in Limestone County, to Benton and Mary Hamsley Vinson.
Mrs. DuBois is survived by her children Gary DuBois (Angie), Marcia Adams, Daryl DuBois (Debbie), Andy DuBois (Naomi), Jackie DuBois (Donna), and Melissa Ward (Tony); step-children Joy Robinson and Ruth Black; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother Bonnie Vinson; and sister Dee Vinson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas “Pete” DuBois; step-children Onedin Pressnell and Buddy DuBois; grandson Jamie Adams; brothers Howard Vinson, Redus Vinson, Tom Vinson, and Allen Vinson; and sisters Dot Lewis, Gladys Jarrett, Mattie Floyd Smith, Bea Furline, Alice Jean Wilson, Mot Freeman, and Francis Reeder.
Funeral services for Mrs. DuBois will be Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00-1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary DuBois, Daryl DuBois, Andy DuBois, and Jackie DuBois. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Faith was very important to Mrs. DuBois, and John 14:1 was very near and dear to her. She very dearly loved her family.
