William E. (Buck) Southard, age 88, of New Market, AL, passed away Friday, January, 24, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Southard was born January 14, 1926 to John Edward and Fannie Mae Southard. He was of the holiness faith and was a member of Elora Church of Jesus. Mr. Southard was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by the love of his life, Freda Southard; one son, Joe Crabtree and wife Jennifer of Huntsville, AL; four daughters: Avis Bean and husband Lynn of Bon Wier, TX, Janice Coats and husband Aaron of Elora,TN, Sandra Wiseman and husband Danny of Estill Springs, TN, and Lisa Vickers and husband Gary of New Market, AL ; one sister, Lela Mae Davis of Cullman, AL; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. James Phelps and Rev. Nicky Bozarth officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in New Market.
