Mr. William Douglas Russell, age 82, of Scottsboro, AL passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Darren McCloud officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
Mr. Russell is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Russell; children, James Russell and Sherri Maxwell.; grandchildren, Dustin Wesbecher, Robert Russell, Cody Maxwell, Mari Thomas, Chris Russell and Brandon Russell.; siblings, Roger Russell and Pam Gammon.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Clyde and Hallie Lyons Russell; siblings, Junior Russell, Wayne Russell, Dorothy Utley and Wilda May Russell.
Mr. Russell loved to talk on his HAMM radio, talking to people all over the world. He loved working with computers and fixing them up to give to young teenagers for school. He was an active member of his church and loved working and helping out any chance he had. Mr. Russell proudly served in the United States Navy for 27 years.
