William David Coffelt Sr, age 79 of Estill Springs, passed from this earth at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 28, 2024. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 27, 1944, in Winchester to David Riley and Ethel Mae (Coker) Coffelt. After his graduation from Franklin County Hish School, he completed an internship at AEDC where he was employed for forty-one years working as an IT and Supervisor. He was a deacon at Little Mountain Church of Christ. William served as an assistant scout master for Troop 184 for several years. He enjoyed reading, traveling, fishing, woodworking, and doing craft shows with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Coffelt; and step-son, Jayme Church. William is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, David (Christy) Coffelt; daughter, Dana (Norm) Ramby; grandchildren, Mattie Thompson, Campbell Thompson, Jena Church, Jess Church, Josh Church, Reese Church, and Erin Church; sister, Dianne (Jimmy) Hensley; step-son, Cary (Neil Ann) Church; three great-grandchildren; and nieces, Lisa Cannon and Meghan Sprague. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Cody Michael and Bro. Steven Welch officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Project Unitify in care of Cody Michael or Men’s Preacher Camp in care of Little Mountain Church of Christ.
