William “Bill” Robert Jackson, Jr. was born to the late William Robert and Edna Jackson on September 14, 1948 in Russellville, AL.
Bill acquired the love of flying as a young boy. His namesake and father was in the United States Air Force. Bill worked hard to get his pilot’s license so he could fly into the “Wild Blue Yonder”.
He was married to the Sharon Hamilton Jackson who preceded him in death. They were blessed with two (2) beautiful daughters that he absolutely adored being their dad. As the years passed he was promoted to Grand-Paw, which was his greatest title. Bill loved his family and friends. The last trip was spent with his loving sister in Bryson, NC on a train ride through the hills and mountains.
He is survived by his daughters; Angela Prince (Paul), and Brandy Perkins (Sean); sisters, Margaret Cobb Jackson, Lynne Jackson Bailey (Freddie), grandchildren; Ethan Perkins, Caleb Cristobal, Jessica Storey (Michael), Haley Cristobal (Jared Yancey), Taryn Bowen (Gage), Bennett Perkins ( Scottiemarie), great-grandchildren David, Eliza, Parker, Carter, Cerlisle and Remi and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
