William “Bill” Ried Cooner, age 75 of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at his residence.
He was employed at Murphy’s Cedar Plant and was a volunteer at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Funeral Home, graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at New Prospect Cemetery. Bro. Sherron Pruden will officiate.
Mr. Cooner was preceded in death by his Wife of 47 years-Kathy Jean Bynum Cooner; Parents-William Green Cooner and Ardie Cooner; Sister-Carolyn Cooner Richardson.
He is survived by his Sons-Michael Cooner (Jill) and Matthew Cooner (Amanda); Grandchildren-Hunter (Sara), Emily, Hannah, Parker, Hayden and Landon; Great Grandchildren-Samuel and Jay; Siblings-Tim Cooner (Tina) and Brenda Stewart (Kenneth); Brothers-in-law-Wallace Bynum (Donna) and Harmon Bynum (Lovenia).
Pallbearers will be Hunter, Parker and Hayden.
