William “Bill” Howard Lowery

Funeral service for William “Bill” Howard Lowery, age 94, of Decatur, AL will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Meeks and Evangelist Phil Waldrep officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. A private burial will follow.

He was born December 18, 1929 to Walter Eugene Lowery and Mable Barnwell Lowery in Colbert County, Alabama. He passed away January 28, 2024 at his residence.

He was a member at Parkview Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

He retired from MonSanto after 30 years of service. He worked part-time at Point Mallard Golf Course. He was an Army Veteran from the Korean War.

He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ida Schrimsher Lowery, son; William S. Lowery, daughter; Debbie Lowery Moore, sisters; Lucy Ferguson, Barbara Powell, grandchild; Lauren Elise Moore, and three Great Grandchildren.
