Willard “Bill” Schluter, formerly of Madison, WI, died peacefully on July 19, 2021 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL.
Bill spent a majority of his life in Wisconsin before retiring to Alabama, where he enjoyed the warm weather and watching Alabama football, Roll Tide!
Bill was also an avid golf enthusiast and spent much of his life enjoying his time at the course amongst friends and family.
Bill is survived by his children, Ronnie (Dawn) Schluter, Amanda Utz, Meredith Schluter and Evelyn (Matt) Gregory; five grandchildren, Allison, Hunter, Jake, Miles and Colby; as well as his brother, Ernest (Joan) Schluter; sisters, Laurel Chapman and Janet (Harley) Furrer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Alberta, as well as his brother, Bob and grandparents, Henry and Elizabeth Schluter.
The family would like to send a special thank you to family friend, David Horvath, and also to the hospice staff at Hospice Family Care of Huntsville for taking care of our father in the times we were unable to be in Alabama.
A remembrance will be held at a later date in Wisconsin.
