Willard (Bill) Burks 91, of Huntsville passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014. Mr. Burks is retired from the United States Army where he served in the Korean War, World War II, including The Battle of The Bulge.
Mr. Burks was born in Grant, Alabama to the late Earl and Berta Burks. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mildred Burks.
He is survived by three Children; Wilda Davis of Huntsville, AL, Claudia Burks Campbell (Peter) of Mims, FL, and Bill Eugene Burks(Carolyn) of Guntersville, AL, three grandchildren; Tom Campbell of Titusville, FL, Mark Campbell of Medway, MA, and Stephanie Burks Jordan of Huntsville, AL, and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2014 from 11am until 12:30 pm at Whitesburg Baptist Church South Campus Chapel. Services will follow the visitation at 12:30 pm with interment following in Maple Hill Cemetery.
