FLORENCE – Florence Police responded this morning to a couple of burglaries in the Downtown District. The Department released this statement, along with a photo of one of the alleged perpetrators. Recognize this fella? If so, please call 256-760-6610 or text a tip to 274637 using keyword “FPDTIP”. Naturally, all responses will be kept confidential.
Here’s what the Department had to say about the incidents:
“Florence Police are investigating an early morning burglary of a Downtown Florence business. At 0430 this morning police responded to an attempted burglary at Quality Cleaners on S. Seminary Street. The complainant advised police that two males and a female attempted to break into their business, dropping clothing as they fled. Officer found that the discarded clothing had been stolen in a second burglary at Jar and Co. on North Court Street. The picture attached was captured at Jar and Co and shows a male inside the business. If you recognize this man you are asked to contact FPD at 256-760-6610 or text a tip to 274637 using keyword “FPDTIP” plus your message. Over $2,000 dollars in merchandize is believed to have been stolen in this case.”
