Wayne Edward Guthrie, age 74 of Lynn, Alabama passed away January 3, 2024. He was a retired supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years, a self employed home builder and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. and burial will follow in Sardis No. 1 Cemetery, Lynn, AL.
He is survived by his wife of 4 1/2 years, Patricia Ann Guthrie; children, Jason (Tracey) Guthrie, Quenton (Tracy) Guthrie and Kaci LeighAnn (Greg) Randolph; siblings, Brenda (Junior) Matthews, Ann Jackson, Garland (Marie) Guthrie, and Danny (Beverly) Guthrie; sister in law, Cindy Guthrie; grandchildren, Rhanda and Presslee Guthrie, Matti Randolph and Tyler Cagle; and great grandchildren, Brayden Cagle and Aleia Cagle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Edward and Leona Guthrie; his 1st wife of 47 years, Brenda Sue Guthrie; brother, Marlon Guthrie; and brother in law, Morgan Jackson.
