Wanda Lee (Romine) Taylor, 86, of Athens, passed away on Monday, September 8th, 2025. Mrs. Taylor was born on June 4th, 1939, in Athens, AL, to Leo and Mayme (Moore) Romine.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons, Benjy Taylor (Bonnie Jean) and Scott Taylor (Sherri); daughter, Scarlot Henson (Rick); grandchildren, Lance Taylor (Moriah), Julie Tucker (Daniel), Garrett Henson, Tara Munoz (Oscar), Emma Ballard (Hunter), and Anna Harrington (Hunter); and ten great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Taylor, Jr.
The funeral service will be Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Garrett Henson, Daniel Tucker, and Lance Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 10:30 – 11:45 am, at the chapel. Burial will be at Elkview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Taylor was a member of Carriger Church of Christ. She was a hard-working mother who loved her family. She had an outgoing personality, and she was a very sweet lady that people loved.
