A funeral service for Wanda Gay Mays, 64, of Cullman will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2021 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Rice’s Chapel Cemetery in Bremen. Rev. Jared Jackson will officiate. A time of visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on
Sunday, August 29, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, James Mays; daughters, Tara (Eric) Twilley, Sandy (Jonathan) Brinson, Jennifer (Isaac) Smith, Chris McClure, father of Jennifer Smith’s children, Britney (Spencer) Crawford, Diane (Terry) Rape; sister, Lisa Alexander; 9 grandsons; 8 granddaughters; 4 great grandchildren, a host of nephews and nieces; and best friend, Debra Smith.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.D. “Bimbo” Goodwin Jr; second husband, Von Roberts; son, Joel Derrick Goodwin; two brothers; one sister; and parents, Alvin and Mary McGraw Alexander.
