W.C. Orrick, 67, of Red Bay, died Wednesday, March 13, 2014, at his residence. He was born Nov. 16, 1946, in Franklin County, Ala. He was an LPN at the Red Bay Hospital for 32 years and was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to travel and also loved Alabama football.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church with Brother Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay, Ala. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala., will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of forty-eight-and-a-half years, Joyce Orrick, Red Bay, Ala.; two daughters, Michelle Ray (Stephen), Red Bay, Ala., and Ginger Esslinger (Jason), Northport, Ala.; foster son, Jesse Lovett, Columbia, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Braden Ray and Addison Esslinger; one foster grandson, Ethan Lovett; two sisters, Kay Schatz, Bartow, Fla., and Peggy Hubbard, Red Bay, Ala.; and one brother, Gordon Orrick, Winter Haven, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Oscar Orrick and Charlsie Renfrow Orrick, and a sister, Jean Bates.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Hubbard, Terry Bates, Fred Harden, Jimmy Tate, Jerome Hubbard ,and Johnny Cleveland. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Strickland and Jimmy McKinney.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church.
