Vuna Mae Daniel Ashley, 79, of Fort Payne, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at her home. She was a member Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of Ashley’s Meat Processing; she loved to garden and sold produce at the local farmer’s market.
Celebration of Life services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. hour of service.
She was survived by her children Emory Earl Ashley, Jr. (Frankie), Aaron Glen Ashley (Amanda), and Paula Marie Ashley Curtis (Paul); grandchildren Rhomda Shankles (Adam), Riley Ashley, Ashley-Sinclair Curtis, Aaron Glen Ashley, Jr. “Ace”, Alec Ashley, and Aubree Ashley; brothers Emory Brooks, Colon Daniel, and Malcolm Daniel; sisters Ruby Jo Akins, Leetha Prater, and Linda Stewart; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Earl Ashley, Sr.
