I have the fondest memories of Viva Mae, when I met her she was breaking beans, cooking an apple pie and canning all at the same time. Then she offered me a piece of pie and sat and talked to me as long as I was there…..there are a lot more memories of her for us. She was a very special lady in our lives. We love coming to the Sides/Slater reunion on the second Sunday in October at Copperas Branch. Making memories with family is the best of the best! God be with you and your children and grands…..we love all of you as we loved Viva Mae.
