Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Louise Johnson, age 86, are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday June 27, 2015 at Fairview Church of Christ in Lexington with Bro. Dan Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery. Mrs. Virginia passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2015 in Lexington. Born August 9, 1928 in Memphis, TN to the late William Roy Evans and Lela Hendrix Hays she worked at Big Star and was a member of Fairview Church of Christ. Mrs. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Silas Johnson, and a brother, James Evans. Survivors include her two sons, Gary Johnson and Rick Johnson (Shelia), two daughters, Wanda (Ed) MacKay and Michelle (Dennis) Cook, 8 grandchildren; Jimmy Johnson, Joel MacKay (Rachael), Amy (Tim) Atkerson, Deanna (Nathan) Smothers, and John, Kristin, Kady, and Kaden Cook, and 10 great grandchildren; Matthew MacKay, Micah, Madison, and Mackenzie Atkerson, Noah, Gabe, Grace, and Mary Cardon Smothers, Jace and Kylar Cook.
