Bertha Guyse Holt, 95, died June 23, 2015, following a brief illness. She was born in Florence and baptized into the Church of the Nazarene.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday June 25, in Florence City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Holt, Brad Holt, Bart Holt, Austin Holt, Parker Holt and Carson Holt.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Doward Holt, and sister, Ruth Staggs. Survivors are her sons, Jimmy Holt (Janice) and Jackie Holt (Martha); five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Holt family would like to express their special thanks and gratitude to her personal sitter, Glenda England, the entire staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth Summit Rehab, and to North Alabama Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
