Funeral services will be held on Sunday December 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Hutchens officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 1, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. till time of service.
Mrs. Surrett is survived by her children, Ricky Loyd, Ronnie Loyd, Gary Loyd, Eddie “Dwight” Loyd, and Phyllis (Forrest) Gregory; grandchildren, Jamie (Sarah) Loyd, Tabitha (Gary) Tinker, Gary Blake (Amanda) Loyd, and Cassidy Loyd; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, David (Linda) Curtis and Randy Curtis; and sister, Dorothy (Fred) Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Loyd; parents, L.D. “Bud” and Martha (Porter) Curtis; brothers, Carl (Opal) Curtis, Lee (Carlene)Curtis, and Frank Curtis; and sisters, Irene Curtis Rowe and Jewel (Bobby) Abernathy.
