Virginia Earl Thompson Elliott – Obituary

Virginia Earl Thompson Elliott departed this life for her heavenly home on September 4, in Tuscumbia, Alabama after a lengthy illness. Visitation was 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, Alabama. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mhoontown Cemetery. Brother Samuel James Moore will officiate.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Larry Elliott and Keith Elliott (Brittany); daughter, Mary Jo Willis; two granddaughters, Christy Stevens (Phillip) and Lisa Slusher (Allan); and three great-grandchildren, Codi Stevens (Rebecca), Lyndsay, and Micah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William Thompson and Cecil Thompson; sister, Mae Pearl Thompson; and two infant sons; niece, Judy Parker; and great-nephew, Adam Estis.

She worked as an LPN at Keller Landing for 30 years. Anyone that knew my Mom was a better person by knowing her. Every life that she touched at the nursing home loved her with all their heart.

Pallbearers will be Allan Slusher, Codi Stevens, Bill Parker, Randy Inman, Tim Inman, and Jerry Inman.
