Vinemont Man Dies From Injuries Received In Single-Vehicle Accident

CULLMAN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident near Cullman that has taken the life of a Vinemont man and sent a Gardendale woman to hospital with injuries:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:09 a.m. Sunday, October 12, has claimed the life of an Vinemont man.

Michael P. McClellan, 27, was fatally injured when the 1999 Ford F-250 pickup he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and then an embankment. McClellan was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger in the Ford, Sierra B. Vickers, 32, of Gardendale, was injured and transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital in Birmingham for treatment.

The crash occurred on U.S. 31 near the 331 mile marker, approximately six miles north of Cullman, in Cullman County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
