Vincent DePaul Avery, Sr., 60, of Fort Payne, formerly of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2020. He was born August 28, 1960 in Haverstraw, New York. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired New York State corrections officer.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 4th at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne with military honors. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Avery; sons, Ashley Lapham, Vincent Avery, and James Avery; daughter, Jo Dunn; grandchildren, Autumn D’Amico, Tristan Avery, and Lauren Dunn; brothers, Charlie Avery and Rutledge Avery; and sister, Sybil Flynn.
