Victor Hoberg – Obituary

Victor Hoberg died peacefully in Atlanta on September 20, 2014. He suffered from Parkinson’s and cancer. Victor was the oldest son of Gesela and Otto Hoberg, who was a member of the von Braun Team. He is survived by his mother, brother, adult children and grandchildren.

Victor was born in Swenemunde, Germany (now Poland). He grew up in Huntsville before marrying and moving to Atlanta to begin a successful career in insurance and raising a family. Later, he was also very instrumental in the care of his elderly mother.
His attributes were his smile, honesty, firmness, quick decision-making, and overall confidence. He loved family, frugality, nature, cars, politics, bluegrass and bargains.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church with Father Michael Mac Mahon officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
