Florence Police Investigators have charged Alfonso Ramon Jarmon, 32 with the murder of Charles Hugh Perkins, 77 of Florence. Bond has not yet been set.
FLORENCE-The Florence Police have released the name of the man who was shot and killed earlier today. The victim is Charles Hugh Perkins, 77 he is retired from the Florence Police Department and was a detention officer at the Florence Jail.
The police are talking with a person of interest and should have more information on this case after 8:00 P.M.
Perkins was shot at around 4:00 P.M. on Friday, April 29 in the 300 block of Redbud Street in Florence.
