Obituary of Vicki McRae PrintzVicki Anne McRae Printz was born November 30, 1946 in Decatur, Alabama. She joined Christ in Heaven on July 6, 2024. Vicki is survived by her sons, Hunter (Alison) and Alan (Erica) Hoskins as well as her grandchildren, Walker, Holli, Heidi, Meagan, Hannah, and William. She also leaves behind two sisters and two brothers as well as nephews and nieces. Vicki was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James (Jim) Martin Printz and her parents, Tommy and Listina McRae.

After a career with Baker Industries, Vicki got busy working on the numerous projects which needed her specific skills to be completed. She was a member of the American Needlepoint Guild, the Embroiderer’s Guild, and the Heritage Quilters. She was an expert at all things sewing, knitting, quilting and stitching. She created patterns, stitched, and taught for years. She was a loyal friend, teacher and craftswoman. As such, Vicki’s favorite Bible verse was 1 Thessalonians 4:11 – “…aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.”

Vicki openly shared her faith in Jesus with her family and, though never domineering or overbearing, she prayed for the everlasting salvation of each of her sons and grandchildren. Her faith was displayed in her dedication and service to Grace Community Church where she and Jim served faithfully for many years. Vicki loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, soul, mind and strength. Her family and friends never questioned her faith in Jesus or her love of them. Truly, Jesus said, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
