Vernon Ray White, age 91, of Adamsville TN died July 4, 2025. He was born June 29, 1934, the son of Homer V White and Willie Barron White in Adamsville TN. Vernon served in the Navy to see the world. He married the love of his life, Nancy Linam White, on April 21, 1956, who survives him and celebrated 69 yrs of marriage. They had 3 sons, Marshall White, Tony White, and Talmadge (Linda) White, and 1 daughter, Vivian White Epps (Pat). He has 6 grandchildren, Caleb Epps (Jaime) and Arian Epps Elliott (Rusty), and 4 more. He has 15 great grandchildren.
Vernon was a heavy crane operator by trade, working on barges in the Gulf, building condos and hotels on the beach, and Gov’t projects. Upon retiring he started a new adventure in real estate remodeling and building houses with family members. He was a Bible believer, Christian, honorable and humble man.
In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by his son, Marshall White in 1982 and his sister, Wilburine White Barham.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, Tennessee, with Charles Linam officiating.
