Vernon Albert Provines, 76 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Provines was born on May 26th, 1948, in Richmond, Indiana, to Jacob Albert Provines and Joan Louise (Clark) Provines.
Mr. Provines is survived by his wife Sara Jane (Freeman) Provines; daughters Veronica Hilliard (Anthony) and Cindy Provines; sons Robert Provines (Joanna) and Michael Provines (Margaret); brother Larry Provines (Lori); 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Leroy Provines and Jerry Provines.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 12th, 2024, at Marion Street church of Christ, at 3:00pm. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00-3:00pm. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
